Tashi Coat

The Tashi Coat is a structured yet easy outer layer, cut in cotton from surplus fabric.

It has a straight, slightly A-line fit that falls to a short, mid-thigh length, giving it a clean, balanced silhouette. The shoulders are softly shaped, with raglan sleeves that keep the line relaxed rather than sharp.

At the neckline, a rounded collar sits neatly against the neck, giving it a gentle, almost vintage feel. It fastens through the front with tonal buttons, and features two large patch pockets that add both function and a subtle utilitarian touch.

What defines the piece is its removable cape. Worn with the cape, it takes on a more sculptural shape — the extra layer drapes over the shoulders, creating volume and movement, almost like a modern take on a classic riding or rain cape. It adds a sense of presence, without feeling heavy.

Without the cape, the coat becomes simpler and more pared back — a clean, everyday layer that’s easy to wear and effortless to style. The silhouette feels lighter, more minimal, and closer to a classic short coat.
